Expert Fire and Flood Restoration Services
Built on Bravery. Backed by Craftsmanship
At Fire & Flood YXE, we do more than dry out rooms; we restore peace of mind. Our company was forged at the intersection of emergency leadership and master-class construction, ensuring your home is in the most capable hands in Saskatoon.
Why the YXE Team Stands Apart
We have bridged the gap between emergency response and high-end renovation, offering a level of expertise unmatched in Saskatchewan:
- The Command of Experience: Led by a 30-year veteran firefighter, our team brings a unique “front-line” perspective to every job. When disaster strikes, we provide the calm, decisive action and rigorous safety protocols that only decades of emergency service can instill. We don’t just see damage; we understand fire behavior and water flow at a molecular level.
- Scientific Precision & Structural Integrity: We don’t believe in “dry-and-dash” fixes. Our team features IICRC-certified water restoration technicians and licensed home builders. We combine the industry’s most advanced drying science with an intimate knowledge of your home’s structural “bones.”
- The Art of the “Invisible Repair”: Our restoration doesn’t stop at the studs. Our finishing specialists are masters of detail—from high-end flooring to custom cabinetry. Our goal isn’t just to return your home to normal; it’s to make it look better than it did before the disaster.

Emergency Response Checklist: What to Do Right Now
If you are experiencing a fire or flood in your home, stay calm. Your priority is safety; our priority is the rest. Follow these steps to protect your family and your property.
1. Immediate Safety First
- Evacuate: If there is active fire, smoke, or structural instability, get everyone (including pets) out immediately.
- Call 911: Always contact emergency services first for active fires or gas leaks.
- Avoid Hazards: Do not enter rooms with standing water if the electricity is still on. Do not walk under sagging ceilings.
2. Stop the Source (If Safe)
- Water Leaks: Locate your main water shut-off valve (usually in the basement or utility room) and turn it clockwise to stop the flow.
- Electrical: If you can safely reach your breaker panel without standing in water, turn off power to the affected areas.
- Gas: If you smell gas, leave the house immediately and call SaskEnergy. Do not flip any light switches.
3. Protect Your Belongings
- Lift & Shield: Move small electronics, photos, and high-value items to a dry area.
- Furniture: Place aluminum foil or wood blocks under furniture legs to prevent “wicking” (water climbing up the wood) and permanent carpet staining.
- Limit Movement: Try to stay off wet carpets to prevent tracking soot or contaminants into clean areas.
4. Document for Insurance
- Photos/Video: Before any cleanup begins, take clear photos and videos of the damage and the source of the leak or fire.
- Keep Samples: If a pipe or appliance failed, keep the part. Your insurance company may want to inspect it.
5. Call the YXE Professionals
- Contact Fire & Flood YXE: [306-249-4104]. Because we understand fire behavior and structural drying science, the sooner we arrive, the more of your home we can save.
- Avoid DIY Drying: Domestic fans can actually spread mold spores or soot. We use industrial-grade desiccant dehumidifiers and HEPA filtration to ensure the air is safe.
Pro-Tip for the Homeowner:
Don’t throw anything away yet. Even if an item looks ruined, the insurance adjuster may need to see it to include it in your claim.
