Hi, I’m Rick Kachur, the owner of Fire & Flood YXE.
Fire & Flood YXE is a locally owned and operated Saskatoon business. Every project is personally overseen by me, so you get experienced, accountable service from the first call to the final walkthrough.
32+ Year Veteran Firefighter & Captain
I’m a 32+ year veteran firefighter and Captain who has safely led crews through countless emergencies. I’ve seen first-hand what fire and water do to a home, and how much it matters to the family living there. I’m also IICRC-certified in water damage, fire and smoke, and mould remediation, so I understand exactly what happened to your home and exactly what it takes to restore it properly. Every job we take on gets the same calm, safe and decisive approach.
IICRC Certified
I hold the following certifications from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), the industry standard for restoration work:
- WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician
- FSRT – Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician
- AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (mould remediation)
Why I Started Fire & Flood YXE
After a career helping people on the worst days of their lives, I wanted to keep helping after the trucks leave. Fire & Flood YXE lets me do exactly that, guiding homeowners, businesses and insurers through drying, cleanup and restoration with honest communication from start to finish.
