Straight answers to the questions we hear most about fire, flood and mold damage. Don’t see your question? Call 306-249-4104.
What types of damage do you handle?
Fire and smoke damage, flood and water damage (including basement flooding, sewer backup and burst pipes), and mold remediation, for homes and businesses in Saskatoon and area.
How soon can you respond to an emergency?
Our emergency line is answered 24/7 at 306-249-4104. Call as soon as it is safe to do so. With water damage especially, every hour counts.
Will my insurance cover this?
It depends on your policy and what caused the damage. Sudden events like a fire or a burst pipe are usually covered, while gradual leaks and some types of flooding may not be. Call your insurer to open a claim, and we can help document the damage for your adjuster.
Can I choose my own restoration company?
In most cases, yes. Your insurer may recommend a company, but you can usually choose who works in your home. Check with your insurer if you are unsure.
Do you work with insurance adjusters?
Yes. We photograph the damage, record moisture readings and keep clear notes of the work, so your adjuster has a clear record and your claim moves forward without delays.
Do I need to leave my home?
Not always. It depends on how much of the home is affected and whether there are safety concerns such as smoke residue, contaminated water or mold. We will give you an honest assessment.
How long does it take to dry out water damage?
Most structures take about three to five days to dry with professional equipment, depending on the materials and how long the water sat. We take moisture readings throughout, so we know it is actually dry before anything is closed up.
Is mold dangerous?
Mold can irritate the eyes, nose and throat and can be a concern for people with allergies, asthma or chemical sensitivities. Disturbing it without containment can spread spores through your home, so larger areas should be handled professionally.
What should I do right after a fire or flood?
Make sure everyone is safe, stop the water source if you safely can, take photos of the damage, call your insurer and then call us. Avoid wiping soot or running the furnace until it has been checked.
How much does restoration cost?
Every job is different. If the damage is covered by insurance, you are usually responsible only for your deductible. We give honest assessments with no pressure and no surprises.
